Your experience with home builders in the Puget Sound area?

I’ve just had my offer accepted on a lot in Port Orchard, WA, and I would like to get a house built there as quickly as possible, before the rainy season starts. A conventional home from a conventional builder would probably take 6-9 months, and I’d like to do it in half that time. I realize that the mass home builders can’t match the quality of the best conventional builders, but on the other hand they probably have a more uniform product that’s better than the lower end builders. I’ve personally seen some site-built construction from big name builders that had total incompetents doing much of the work.

I don’t think I want a manufactured home, although I’m not ruling it out, but I’m thinking more in terms of either modular, or one of the mass builders like HiLine, Adair, Reality, or True-Built.

If anyone has experience with any of these or similar companies in the Puget Sound area, good or bad, please share it. Thank you very much.
