So sorry. There are 5 other polls on the topic where the background was explained. This one is obviously an error. Allowing multiple choice and not having the responses identified by poster was just wrong.
But it’s beating a dead horse anyway.
What I meant was you cannot have a character actor poll that fails to include Strother Martin, who played the warden in Cool Hand Luke.
He was in one of the earlier polls.

You say “character actor” and only one person comes to my mind: Foster Brooks. He’s not in this poll; which of the previous ones was he in?

I don’t know what the point of the polls is/are. But you really can’t mention great character actors without a mention of Strother Martin. (Or Walter Brennan I suppose.) Strother stole every scene he was ever in. Talented actors feared working with him.
