Might and Magic IV: Clouds of Xeen and Might and Magic V: The Darkside of Xeen were cool as hell. You could combine their installation to create one massive game called the World of Xeen, which let you play both games simultaneously, with additional original gameplay.
You should make a boot disk. I had to do that to run some games back in the DOS days even when that was the base OS on my system (I had Win 3.1 but rarely used it, and it was basically a DOS shell). You can download a program to create a DOS bootdisk at www.bootdisk.com, and then, with a little research, you should be able to tweak an autoexec.bat to free up the right amount of memory. Ten years ago I probably could have written an appropriate autoexec.bat right now for you, but I’ve forgotten a LOT of stuff about DOS.
