hmmmm little jew eh? I’m keeping an eye on you!
:o turns beat red with embarassment. Ummm, yes. Reading through this thread therw me off with The Who references. Curse my fingers!
Emerson Lake & Palmer Brain Salad Surgery**.
A must have for those in the know
I always liked Big Daddy’s Sgt. Pepper’s.
It’s a kinda concept album of a concept album…Big Daddy covers the entire Beatles album, and transforms it 1950’s-style.
Imagine Buddy Holly performing “A Day in the Life,” Johnny Mathis doing “Fixing a Hole,” and “Within You Without You” as a beatnik coffeehouse poetry-reading with a jazz background…
Hmm… I wonder if every Misfit’s CD would count
If not, then definitely my choice is King Diamond’s “Them.” Fan-fucking-tastic stuff. I don’t know many people who would ever come close to agreeing with me personally, but someone besides me has to be buying his stuff.
**
My personal favorite is a little know jew called “Amused to Death” by Roger Waters. Best cd I ever heard in my life!**
Oops, I never knew one little typo could get you into so much trouble.
Thats little known jewel
Sorry for that.
Although I’ve never seen it called a concept album, I think a strong case could be made for it anyway - hell, it was more “concept” than 99% of the stuff on this list (Queen II was a concept album?) - and it is:
Spinal Tap - Smell The Glove.
Sgt. Peppers by The Beatles
Absolutely Free by Frank Zappa
*Dark Side of the Moon *by Pink Floyd
Their Satanic Majesties Request by The Rolling Stones
