Robert Carlyle in Trainspotting, The Full Monty and 28 Weeks Later. In Trainspotting he really nailed the psycho, unhinged - but also clearly realistic - lunatic. In the Full Monty he played funny really well, and brought a lot of humanity to the film, in 28 Weeks Later he played the devastated, desperate dad and husband with a lot of humanity.

Then Robert A. Heinlein… I was a total fan of his work in my adolescence, although I have the feeling that we would have basically loathed each other personally.

Robert Burns and Robert DeNiro – both great, but not special favorites to me personally.
Robbie Robertson – problematic. I think he contributed greatly to the music of the Band, but given what people such as Levon Helm have said about him I have mixed feelings.
On edit: I knew I’d forget some major Roberts, and having looked at the other posts, I would definitely add Robert Plant, and also Robert Mitchum and Robert Downey Jr.
