Sadly, a lot of my favorite podcasts have ceased production. I adore Yeast Radio with Madge Weinstein. Also, Cheryls Whorehole is excellent too. They’re pretty graphic, so not for the faint of heart.
I used to listed to the Little Fatty Cast and The Gay Trucker, but they’ve recently stopped.
Most all of mine have been mentioned except for my favorite: Savage Love.
rostfrei, you’d probably enjoy Distorted View if the podcast you mentioned is the one I’m thinking of.
The Bugle (John Oliver & Andy Zaltzman)
Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me
Car Talk

Talk of the Nation Science Friday
Savage Love

Two faves that I haven’t seen mentioned: Stephen Fry’s Podgrams and CBC Radio Quirks and Quarks.
For those that enjoy a little oddity in their life, I find myself strangely in love with Wiretap on CBC. Unfortunately, I’ve only ever found unofficial podcasts. FYI, info on the show here: http://www.cbc.ca/wiretap/faq.html
