Your Favourite {But Lesser-Known} Riffs

Caravan, “C’thlu Thlu

Spooky Tooth, “Evil Woman”

Albert Castiglia - The Day The Old Man Died. Matt Shuler (sp) on bass carries this one. And Albert, as always, is amazing.

Slight hijack here…am I the only one that when I hear the beginning of this song, the first note of the riff sounds like it’s on the first beat (ONE-AND-TWO…THREE-AND-FOUR…) , instead where it really is, on the upbeat (AND-ONE-AND…AND-THREE-AND…), until the drums kick in???

No, I hear that, too.

I’ve posted this before, but the bass intro and riff from the Faces Three Button Hand-Me-Down might be my favourite ever.

Oh, hell yes! I fucking LOVE that song and Ronnie Lane’s bass work. It has the same chorus as the Motown hit Some Kind of Wonderful, but frankly I prefer this song. Probably my fave Faces song.

And more quality Datsuns riffage with Fink For The Man.
