Your first "real" concert?

Rick, you win, but I’m not sure I believe you. If you were there, you’re not supposed to remember it.

Apart from bands/singers that only Israeli dopers will have heard of, like Kaveret and Arik Einstein in the seventies, mine was Teardrop Explodes, Hammersmith Palais, London - 1981 or 82.

Beatles. 1964. And then Dylan, 1965, the first half-electric tour. Teenagerhood sucked, but the music was fine.

My husband took our eight year old son to an Eagles concert for his birthday. I wanted to go too, so that ended up with the three year old having to come too. Apart from the ridiculous expense of the tickets, we had a great time. Kids were amazingly well behaved and the older one had a blast. Little one fell asleep at the end, in the middle of “Hotel California” and stayed fast asleep all the way through the long queues to get out of the stadium, onto the buses then the train home. He was very, very heavy.
