Your last time in a casino....were you a net winner or a net loser??

I came out dead even.

Of course, I was 15 at the time.

I came out ahead by $2.50.

That was at the Blackjack table, where I play when I get the urge to hang out for a couple hours.

Ah, but the OP asked about the last time we were in a casino, not the next-to-last time.

Casino in Niagara Falls. That sort of slot gambling is legal here but not that interesting. There it was even more boring. Old Japanese/Chinese/American/French Canadian/everything else women pouring quarter substitutes into noisy machines. The payback was too low. We stopped at about $30CA which I was surprised at. I was ready to spend a few hundred $CA.

Last time I went, I went with a hot redhead, so I consider myself a “winner”.

She liked to play those weird slot “games” and I played a few just to be companionable, I think I lost $40.

Mostly I only play a little and only lose a little. I did hit a 10000 quarter jackpot once in the late 70’s, which certainly put me ahead. There was big excitement, even though that’s not really a lot of money. It is possible that one jackpot has put me postive for all my accumulated Vegas betting.

I also used to play craps and there I have never lost big; either broke even, lost a bit or once won big.

I think most dudes lose a modest amount, not enough to hardly remember. But when you win big, you certainly remember that.

Well, in that case I lost $500!

of course, the time before that I came out a couple thousand ahead.

I do the whole “Bet big to win big” thing.

Last time would have been the casino in Sault Ste. Marie. Played Blackjack and ended up down $30 Canadian, which was my limit. Time before that was BJ in various Deadwood casinos as I wandered around the town one night, came out up about $80 overall.

I only play ghetto-slots (stuff under .25). The last three times my wife and I went we walked out with Casino money. Not much. Perhaps $200 total on all 3 visits.

Not bad for 6 hours of entertainment.

There are three casinos within an hour of me. One is only about 10 minutes away. It’s pretty easy to walk in, play the $40, and if it starts to lose, walk out. I’ve just been lucky the last few times the payout was steady enough to play for hours.

A new BIG casino is opening up down the street. I can’t wait. Nice, clean, new ghetto-slots.

I’ve lost like the last 30-something trips in a row.

I challenge anyone on earth to proclaim they have worse luck than me.
I’ve been on such a long and harsh losing streak that the last time I played roulette, I said to myself “ok, this is just getting stupid” I put $1 on every single number on the lay-out. I had to know what it felt like to actually hit a frtikkin number.

The dealer spun the wheel, dropped the ball, and the ball bounced out of the wheel and landed by the blackjack tables about 20 feet away.

That should have told me something.

I have been given the curse of the black chicken.

I’ve played the Dutch state lottery for five years now, and every month I buy automatic tickets for 30 dollar’s worth. Because I buy a “street” one of my ten last numbers always wins and I get 5 dollars back.

Otherwise, I have never won anything. But I gladly pay for the dream that maybe one day I’ll open a letter from the bank and see a cool amount of money added. That’s a nice dream.
Net loss: 300 dollars a year, 1500 dollars so far in my five years. Hmn. :dubious:

played my loose change in a bar slot machine (keno)… got down to my last 25 cents… played a 10/10 hit… scored 9/10, prize was $177.75… cashed out…
only time I vere gambled
FML

If that really happened that’s funny as hell!

Last time I gambled was today but I just gambled $8 because I had a $5 Match Play. Lost. Poker is usually my game. Last four attempts were -$40, +$180, -$100, +$300.

On a New Orleans casino boat for my bachelor party. We were palying some game where I think we got 3 or so cards to go with the dealer’s two (something like that). Through no skill on my part I got 4 Jacks. Lights came on, horns went off, my friends started laughing and the dealer handed me $750. All of us were ahead except one friend so I covered his losses and took my buds to dinner.

The last time I was in a casino I had one $5 bet with a chip that I had been carrying around since last time I was there. I put it on 27 at roulette and lost.

My life time roulette career is 5 spins of the wheel 3 bets on 27, 2 bets on 2 for 3 wins, the first 3 bets I had.

The last time I was in a regular casino I went to the Hard Rock in Hollywood, FL after dropping a friend at the airport. I actually went to play bingo, but I had about an hour before the session started, so I milled around playing some slots.

My favorite was The Amazing Sea Monkeys slots:

a nickel game with bonus rounds. I quickly hit $60 on it and cashed it out immediately. I used $25 of that later to play bingo with, so I ended up ahead by $35.

The last time I was in a casino was a few years back.

I walked away from about a 6-hour session of 5/10 hold 'em about $400 to the good, but I’d dropped about $150 earlier in the day.

The previous times before that, I’d won playing poker, and lost when I played a bunch of craps. A hundred or two each way.

Last summer in Atlantic City: Up $700 by counting cards at Black Jack for 4 hours. I would have made more but they noticed I was counting and started shuffling a lot. Bastards.

Only been in one casino: Natchez in 1995. Swore I wouldn’t lose more than $10. Lost in within 20 minutes. Spent the rest of the evening watching my wife and some friends play Roulette and Slots. I think the friends made money, but my wife came close to a big win at Roulette but lost. I think she may have lost $50.

I’ve lost more than I’ve won in home gambling games, and don’t have any desire to give a casino any of my money. Or Lotto. Or Publisher’s Clearing House.

Vegas, last September. Lost about $700 over the 4 days, which was a little under my budget. I never expect to win, and so far, I haven’t been disappointed. We’re going back this September, and I fully expect to lose my budget again.

I’m not a gambler, and there’s only one time I’ve been inside a casino, in Vicksburg, Mississippi. I played the quarter slots a few times, and walked away with my winnings of $1.25.
