Are you this Andrew Bird?
Well, it’s only here, but back when the SDMB first switched from UBB to vB (way back in 2000), I figured out how to get the forum pages to display correctly for Netscape users. So, for a while, the fact that the New Thread button was in an odd place here was sort of my doing. Of course, the layout’s changed quite a bit since then.
I created harry potter does bananaphone.
My interview with Da Vinci Code author Dan Brown appears to be widely plagiarized and used-without-permission throughout the internet. Neato.
I’ve been interviewed by a number of media outlets both as a Wikipedia editor and for my metro website.
I created one of the more popular WarcraftIII maps in it’s time, Custom Hero Arena under the name Slayerdragon
I had a forum up at www. customheroarena .com until recently (not a working link) which is now being moved somewhere more freer due to money
Not sure I really changed the internet, but i had an impact on that community anyways.
I have created a huge amount of simulated weapons—conventional, chemical, biological, historic, fictional, and nuclear—for one of the premier, and most accurate, commercial flight simulators on the market. (And until recently, basically the only one available for the Macintosh.) I was the first person ever to upload a custom weapon for said program.
In fact, I may have created more simulated nuclear weapons—with accurate casings, yield effects, etc—from more countries than any other civilian on the planet.
Merchant of Death, Lord of War, Vendor of All Things Destructive…dat’s me.
I have added details on around 800 races to a political website, mostly of local races at various locals within the United States, and, as a result, am in charge of the detection of bad data (we have had problems with trolls) on said website.
As part of the WatDec Project in the 80s, I put together an interactive on-line course using VM/CMS back when there were only a few of hundred nodes on the net.
