Your opinion of glassdoor.com?

I just discovered the website http://www.glassdoor.com/index.htm

I looked at the reviews for my own company and they’re 100% on the money. While I’d expect a website like this to have mainly negative reviews since I imagine most of the visitors are potential career changers, it doesn’t seem to be focused on just employees griping and venting.

I also found the salary information posted for my position was accurate.

Anyone else used it?

[edit] I don’t work for this website and I’m not trying to spam for them. I just ran across the website when I typed in the name of a company I was considering applying at. I typed in "Name of competition company + salaries and the glasssdoor website was one of the first hits Google found.

There are only three reviews for my company, so it’s hard to say much from that.

Not only that, but they seem to be all from another, bigger, location. Across the country from where the office I work at is located.

I’ve only used it for ratings of financial services companies. The five-star ratings seem to come from people looking to recruit to the company, and the one-star ratings seem to come from disgruntled former employees. When I look at a company, I tend to focus on the two- to four-star ratings, because those seem to be the most, I dunno, fair.

Seem to be lots of honest posts about my company, but I can’t read more than a couple pages without it forcing me to create an account.
