In my fantasy world I have something that looks like a garage door opener. I point it at rude drivers and they’re instantly transported to Death Valley in front of a sign that says "driving etiquette lessons next exit. Followed by a sign that says next exit 100 miles.
A man gesticulated like no one has gesticulated before that I was unworthy to be behind the wheel. Swearing and honking galore. When he realizes I would have hit a car pulling out he gets out and hangs in my window (stop light now). The apology weirded me out more than the rage. I try to remember that when folks are dicks to me on the road.

I guess if you’re comparing a conversation with a hands-free cell phone and a passenger in the front seat, they’re both equally distracting.
Nope. If a car jumped lanes and is heading for you, your passenger will shut up. Your cellphone caller will say “are you there? are you there?”
Too bad the laser cannon is just about as illegal as yapping on a phone one is holding is here in CA (hands-free is required). I have ZERO sympathy for some selfish jerk who can’t divert attention from the precious phone to pay attention to driving.
