Besides the horrible hangs with the server, I now am finding that posts are missing. I post and the server hangs. I go to the thread after the server responds again and the post is there. I come back hours later and the post is gone. What the heck is going on. Is the database corrupted?

I’m curious as to when you posted these disappearing posts? And to which thread. That’s a start to help us figure it out.
And, yes, the database is no doubt corrupted and has been wonky for months.
Today I lost two I think and a couple have disappeared in the last week. I will note problems in the future with more detail if they will actually help with a problem. Todays post were in the morning and I looked at the threads tonight.
One was this thread
I would have posted as the second person in the thread.
This is a test. My posts seem to be empty but no one else’s are.
Even weirder, this one is fine.

Weird. Yep, your 8:13 post in the Teaching how to think… thread appear to me, as of this moment, to be blank.
I’ll send a note to Jerry. Best I can do.

Clicking “reply” shows the content in the quote box, though. Odd.

That’s giving me a clue! ![]()
When that happens, it usually means that there’s an unmatched tag somewhere in the coding. I fixed it. For ten bucks I’ll tell you which tag was wrong. ![]()

The Google ad at the bottom of this thread:
“Undo Circumcision Damage”
Ahhh, the irony ![]()
Sounds like a database corruption problem, that’s usually what happens when we start seeing blank posts. I’ll make sure Jerry’s aware of this. Sorry for your inconvenience.
