Your SDMB family name

Husband = Mr. Ujest

Kids= never came up with anything clever.

I’m married to VunderWife; my teenaged son is the VunderKind; the new puppy is Maddy the VunderDog.

Breaking the theme, there’s Booger the Worthless Tomcat, and Audrey the Pile of Hair (a calico Maine Coon cat)

I’m DeVena. My husband is DeHusband. Etc. Works for us. Don’t really care what others think.

Well, since the names Dweezil and Moon Unit were in use long before I became a Doper, I derived my username from their nicknames, rather than the other way around.

However my name for my spouse, Papa Zappa, came about by default. If he ever gets around to joining the Dope, he’s even insisted he wants to continue using that as his username. I’d actually rather he picked something a bit less lame :stuck_out_tongue:

The wife is actually a Charter Member, but hasn’t posted more than about 4 times in the last few years. So I usually refer to her as The Wife." Or “My Reason For Living” if I think she might read the thread.

Oh, BTW, I sometimes call the SO by Mighty_Guy. When I was pregnant he was often “That idiot”.

My wife was briefly a member of the SDMB under the name Pepper Mill. She got it by one of those “Stripper Name Generator” things by taking the name of her first pet and the street she once lived on. The combination was unexpexcedlyb fortuitous. I named our daughter MilliCal both as a sort of Mini-Me (milli + Cal), but also because it blended elements of both our names (Pepper Mill + CalMeacham)
I haven’t changed our cats’ names.

Hypothetical

Call him Distilled.
I have no idea what to call them. Mr. **Anaamika ** is stupid because in Hindi **Anaamika ** is a very feminine name, and I can’t get that out of my head. Usually I just call him the SO. Of course, **Anaamika ** means “The Girl With No Name” so I suppose I could call him Clint.

I love him, but Clint, he’s not.

We are the Cherry family, of course! Baby Cherry, Cherry Girl and Cherry Boy are my offspring. I generally call my husband “my husband,” though. Not sure why.

The height of predictability: my wife is the lovely and talented Mrs. Bricker, and our son is Bricker Jr..

Haven’t really had a chance to refer to any family member, but I suppose they’d all certainly be Special <something> – like Special Teenager for my eldest daughter

I occasionally refer to my wife as “Mrs. Chuck.” My daughter is always “my daughter.”

I refer to my husband as ElzaHub, only because I realized it nearly rhymes with Beelzebub, and I think I was pissed at him the day I came up with it.

Yes, he knows that’s his nickname and why. Now if I could just get him to sign up on the Dope.

E.

I’m married to DogDad. We have no kids, but we have CurrentDog. We used to have a Siberian Husky and a Greyhound, they are referred to collectively as FormerDogs or individually either by name (Lobo & Houdini, respectively) or FormerDog1 and FormerDog2. We live in the DogHouse, and drive the ChuckWagon, or the DogMobile.

Hm. My parents are either TheDogParents or, when I’m in the mood to type it out, my mom is I-Ain’t-No-Gramma-To-A-Stupid-Dog.

Equally unimaginative - The Lovely and Talented Mrs. Shodan and the Shodan-ettes.

Regards,
Shodan

My SO is referred to as SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed). My stepdaughter is The Teenaged Terror, although I’m going to have to find a new name for her in 2006, as she will turn 20 and officially graduate from Teenagehood.

The bus wife says the same thing. Says we all scare her.

Except when she has a question and I answer it by showing her something here (usually from GQ) that answers it for her. Then she thinks this place is alright.

I usually just say the boyfriend or the boy. If I wanted to get all cutesy with my username, I’d have to either call him Farad’n or Harq-al-ada, neither of which anyone would get, unless they were a big dork like me.

I am Little Bird and my husband is, of course, Bird Man. (Attourny at laaaaawwwww!) The cats and dog go by their real names and Mom and Dad are Mom and Dad. Maybe I should invent a scheme, Mama Bird and Papa Bird? If I ever find myself in the family way I could call it the Egg. That would be cute, maybe… In real life my just turned 21 year old little brother is the boy, but only with me. Everyone else has to call him Mike. I guess if I ever referred to him on here it would be as “the Boy (my little brother).”
