*Barnes and Noble has a terrific system. When you show up you get a wrist band with a number. At the stroke of midnight someone locally “important” (last time it was the Mayor) starts to read the book aloud. You get called up to the counter in groups of 50 by the number on your wrist band. It’s all very organized. There’s no pushing and shoving or fighting or cutting. I had the book in my hot little hands and was on my way home by 12:30.

They’re doing it alphabetically by last name at our B&N - my surname ends with a “P”, so I’ll be waiting a while. I’m almost tempted not to go - when I went for HBP, there were an awful lot of idiots and my husband lost his temper with a teen that shoved past us to get to the register (of course, after he checked out he was outside sitting on the curb waiting for his parents - and not reading the damn book!)

I found the last few paragraphs interesting. This news is somewhat behind the times, since it is now the entire book that can be found (but not by me) online, but the stamps sound so cool! (or maybe I’m a bit too involved in this…)
