Today on the way to the post office to mail in my Virginia income tax, I glanced at the form and a certain word leaped out at my eyes:
YOUR VAGI
YOUR SPOUSE’S VAGI
Gosh, I thought, how personal can they get? And why didn’t they finish spelling out the word? Were they too shy to write the full word?
It wasn’t long before I figured out it must have stood for “Virginia Adjusted Gross Income.” But for a minute there, that was the most fun I ever had filing income tax!
