Your views on self-defense, killing, and weapons

My responses:
People DO have an individual (not collective) right of self-defense
Killing someone IS NEVER the right thing to do
People HAVE A right to possess deadly weapons

Note that I answered whether killing someone is ever the right thing to do from my personal moral perspective. Not whether the right to self defence should include the right to deadly force in defence, which right I believe people do currently have.

Okay, went back to see your post & would like your clarification on a few things With the acknowledgement that you apparently wanted to make clear that you know a lot about mans inhumanity to man. I agree that you have a good reason to make that claim.

Are you saying you will never kill a human or that you would if necessary ( insert bad situation of your choice ) in spite of your belief that it is never the right choice.??

IMO, education & tolerance are what the world needs but without a really really big & huge and impossible to resist force, that will not happen in any but the wildest cases or lengthy time frames.

There is no way to make but itty bitty gains at this time, and I applaud those that will die willingly in the effort.

At this time My choice is that: “I may chose to die for you but I will not die because of you.”

Last question: Are you willing to die to keep from personally not being willing to kill even a truly evil person & which will gain you nothing but having the fact of your death as a added grain of sand for the improvement of the human condition?

I have not gone back and done a search to determine if you have made it clear in other threads. Have you done so & I am just unaware? If so, sorry.

I would never kill a human in self defence or murder.

I would kill a human in a euthanasia situation, if that were legal. I just didn’t think that was relevant in the context the OP was asking (self defence, weapons)

Do you mean: will I die rather than kill in self defence or to prevent some evil? Yes, I would. “Be the change that you want to see in the world” is a good motto. “Two wrongs don’t make a right” is another.

I would do any other action, though, up to and including fighting.

I personally don’t see why I can’t be trusted with anything up to and including nuclear weapons, although the maintenance and containment would be more than I’d want to bother with.
