One of the reasons we pay taxes is so the SAS / 6th Fleet can rescue us
If I’m being unjustly imprisoned I don’t care about the guards because they are holding me unjustly.
If I’m being held there justly then I wouldn’t care because in that case I’m a really, really bad guy and really bad guys don’t generally care about killing the innocent.
Only if they promise to also burning Iranian dog, too.
If they didn’t want a bloodbath, they shouldn’t have arrested me.
I don’t hold anything against the poor schlubs reporting to work in the morning. I would rather wait for a diplomatic solution.
Rule 1 Don’t work with people (creatures) which can not be trusted/controlled/reasoned with. Dragon stays home.
My plan would involve sneaking, bribing, sedating and/or lock-picking. Above all there would be as few operatives as possible, and near-total silence. Every guard in the place should spend the next several days questioning themselves and each other and investigating the whereabouts of DoperName. They should be uncertain as to whether he escaped or one of them left him in the bathroom.
My plan would leave behind a chaos of distrust, uncertainty and moral disillusionment finally ending with the dissolution of the program and the closing of the prison. Bernadette and her drama queens can be standing by to whisk away the remaining prisoners when the new staff and the old -thoroughly demoralized- staff try to work together to move them to the new location.
Quick question - does the Sociopath in the Iron Man suit look anything like Robert Downey Jr.?
You think that’ll involve less collateral damages than the RhE Exfiltration team?
I’m going to say yes, though I should think you’d want the one who looks like Taye Diggs. ![]()
The dragon was gene-engineered by Bernadette for just such purposes, and it’s pretty clear she plans to ride the dragon herself. (Because, seriously, if you worked for a company with RhE’s resources and had successfully engineered a ridable dragon, wouldn’t you ride it at every opportunity?) Obviously she (the dragon) is either tame or sentient. Certainly she (the dragon) is no less trustworthy than the sociopath in the powered armor. Admittedly I’m not sure how trustworthy Bernadette is.
Why is RhE interested in saving the other prisoners? Who is paying for that?
In the same vein, you’re getting this rescue only because of a coupon, and Bernadette is no fool; she’ll be doing this on the cheap so she doesn’t have to explain why she wasted company resources. The exfiltration team she chose was already available and idle. YOUR plan costs money and time. ![]()
