Love 69 Love Songs.
I’ll add Albert Hammond, Jr. to the list. Momentary Masters is pure pop rock gold.

I like both. Gaslight anthem seems to be fairly well known in New Jersey, is that we’re you are? Another locations popular band (older now) is Ozo Motley out in Southern California. Also put me down for a fan of Ha ha Tonka listed above.
I love me some Lizzo and so should more people.
Well, a few folks on this board (i.e. Bridget Burke) know about him and his band(s) , but I will continue to put Doug Sahm and the Sir Douglas Quintet up on a pedestal.
Yeah! Oh, Yeah!
In my car now. If I have to explain it, it’s 69 songs about love, but they’re not songs about being in love, many of them very, very far from it. Like that one ^
Nope, never been to NJ. I suppose if I did grow up there, I’d appreciate Springstein more, but as it is those references (and GA does em constantly) go over my head. Titus Andronicus is another good NJ band, not as Springsteiny, that isn’t otherwise well known, though the alt-press seems to know them, but I don’t know anyone who knows them either, except on SDMB.
I’ll go with Kieran Kane, Kevin Welch & Fats Kaplin… their album Kane Welch Kaplinis gorgeous Americana. Mostly quiet tunes, very evocative, with nice understated instrumentation and a feeling of being very plugged into the mainline of American roots music but still fresh.
(I also just included this album in the thread “Like the album, hate the cover”.)
I was trapped in a doctor’s office, and had to listen to (among others) a song by Justin Bieber. He zoomed to the numero uno spot on my expungees list. The inept use of falsetto was loathsome. I’d rather listen to a dentist’s drill. I’d rather experience a dentist’s drill.
