You're sent back to the 60's and given an all access backstage pass. Which comedy show do you visit?

Dick Van Dyke shows 1st, Laugh In second and Get Smart third.

But her boyfriend was Warren Beatty and he’d wallop you.

Batman

Dick Van Dyke Show followed by The Tonight Show and Laugh-In.

I want to slide through the alternate timeline to when Tim Conway joined the Carol Burnett show in 1967.

Ghoulardi.

Yeah, the brunette changed too. Just couldn’t keep them gals for more than a few months, ‘fore they rode off with some travelin’ salesman come in on the train!

I guess I liked the second brunette better, but I’m torn between the first and second blondes:

Aw, hell, I’ll take the first one, Joe. :o That “Meredith” (blonde no. 3) ain’t never done much for me.

Wait…so, Uncle Joe was their pimp?

Wasn’t that obvious? :dubious:

This’n!

From the original list, I’d go with Green Acres but closely followed by Hogan’s Heroes. If Dick Van Dyke was listed I’d consider it but probably stay with my choice to spend time with Ms. Gabor.

That Was the Week That Was; it didn’t last long, but there was some real talent on that show.

Hogan’s Heroes, just so I could see what Bob Crane was up to

Here’s another vote for a great, original comedy show. Though I was just a little guy back then, plus we never had tv until the late 60s, I do remember Rowan and Martin, Goldie Hawn and all those other characters.

I think he left a pretty good home movie record behind. No time travel required.

I’ll pick Hee Haw (1969). Lotta hot babes and Roy Clark.

Dick van Dyke Show.

Andy Griffith Show is a close second.

I don’t think Milton Armitage was really Thalia’s boyfriend. Milton and Dobie could vie for her attention such as the episode where they had a “who wears the best suit to class”. But Thalia and her cold money-loving heart always wanted to remold Dobie so he could make money. Not for Thalia, mind you. Her father was 60 and had a kidney condition, her mother wasn’t getting any younger, her sister was married to a loafer and her brother was becoming a public charge. Love doesn’t butter any parsnips.

Besides, Warren Beatty denies he ever did television so how is he going to beat me up?

Man, I loved that show.

The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. Maybe I’d have a chance to share a little tea with Goldie.

McHale’s Navy - lot of different known faces among the cast as well as some serious personalities. I’m curious how they really got along.
