If Scandanavian countries were looking to ban iodized salt, they wouldn’t be switching to sea salt. Anything that comes out of the sea is naturally iodine-containing. (I have to follow a very low-iodine diet occasionally for tests or treatments related to thyroid cancer. Anything that comes out of the sea is strictly off limits.)
People may have other reasons for preferring sea salt, but it’s not that it is iodine-free.
Well whaddya know. Once again, facts turn out to be completely opposite of assertions made by rightwing conspiracy theories (I’m assuming this comes from rightwing email glurges or pundits).
