I’m on a few Sub-Reddits and I’ve been seeing this pop up more and more. I know it’s been going on for years and it’s not limited to potentially political or subversive videos. Why Somaliland? I have a VPN service and while there’s South African servers, nothing for Somaliland.
My best guess is this is some kind of Ransomware variation, “I’ll block your video for everyone outside of Somaliland!” or maybe it’s some kind of swerve to keep a video from being taken down?
