Yuor extremely random hobbies/skills?

-I can 7 balls or 5 pins myself or 11 balls or 7 pins in tandem.
-I can also twirl fire and am working on learning to breathe it.
-I can move my eyeballs independently from one another.

I do the same thing with my NASCAR 4 sim. Yesterday morning 43 cars raced at Daytona for 500 miles in real time and I watched most of the race on my computer. I will do this with most of the races in the Winston Cup season a couple weeks in advance of the real thing. Even scarier, I am going to use the results when I make my selections for my fantasy racing teams.

I can do the Spock hand thing (spread fingers between the ring and middle finger) with my left hand but not my right hand. I use to do a trick where is looks like I swallow a quarter then regurgitate it. It didn’t stick to the roof of my mouth one time and I almost choked to death. It scared me enough I haven’t done it since.

i have a vast knowledge of trivia.

i can read about twice as fast as average. that is, i can finish a 400 page novel in an afternoon.

i can make origami lucky cranes.

i can put a king size duvet cover on in less than 30 seconds. working as a chambermaid had to have one benefit.

Let’s see, some of my random hobbies/skills; well, I’m a bit of a cat-charmer - cats almost always love me (and I love them, too - maybe they pick up on that). I can do one thing with my right hand and another with my left at the same time. I make up songs to sing to my cats all the time, and I’m pretty good at making up parody words for songs as I’m singing along with them. All very marketable, let me tell you.

(Yosemitebabe, I have a similar talent for recognizing faces and trivia. I tell Jim that I know things that I don’t even know I know.)

I am very impressed! I can barely write legibly forwards!

I’ve written a program in Perl that plays Montana solitaire.

Not a program that lets me play solitaire, mind you. The computer plays it.

It can either run one game showing all the moves, or it can run in batch mode so that I can run a thousand games (takes around an hour on my slow-ass work computer) and display statistics like wins vs. losses, number of moves per game, number of reshuffles per game, etc. It makes crude ASCII histograms.

I put in different rules for selecting moves to try to see which strategy works best.

I have a totally useless ability to remember whole TV commericals - word for word. Some from last week, some from 10 years ago, almost none from The Superbowl.

I do voices. It always freaks out a news anchor when I greet him in his “on-air” voice… I sometimes greet people I’ve never met as an Englishman, Aussie, German, Russian, etc. Every once in a while, I’ll greet someone as “Marvin the Martian” from the Bugs Bunny cartoons.

I also do the “normal” wierd finger noises, wierd nose noises, wiggle my ears and make the “dripping water” sound that Alan Ruck made in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

Yeah, I had odd dates in High School.

I’m only up to 40 something. Palve is somewhere around 100.

I too, read extrordinarily fast, and have the knack of remembering almost every thing I ever read. Not word for word, mind you, but at least the characters’ names and the details of the plot. Or, if non-fiction, I can remember the arguments given, and the supporting evidence. Thus, I have accumulated a huge array of useless trivia, and a reputation as a walking library. Friends and family use me as their Straight Dope Message Board.

I can also make my eyes “shimmy” back and forth as rapidly as a shiver. It amuses small children to no end, but other than that, is an utterly useless trait.

I can recite the entirety of the scripts to every Star Wars movie, starting at any point. It never fails not to impress the ladies.

I am savant-like with dates, especially years, and what I was doing at that exact time.

I can spend up to 9 hours online looking at porn, nonstop.

I can imitate the Comic Store Guy from The Simpsons very well.

I can write and essay or a review/story from the top of my head with no research, if the topic is something I know about. This helped alot in school.

I pick up languages quite well, mostly words and bits of phrases.

I give really good head. Not bragging but we’re good at what we like

I occasionally do the same thing with fighting games and fps’s like Unreal Tournament. Guess I’m too dorky for real sports.

I used to be able to recite Fox in Socks (by Dr. Seuss) completely from memory, with no mistakes. For those of you who are unimpressed, I ask you to go down to the library/bookstore, get a copy, and try reading it aloud. Or just try this sample:

*Luke Luck likes lakes
Luke’s duck likes lakes
Luke Luck licks lakes
Luke’s duck licks lakes.

Luke Luck takes licks in lakes duck likes.
Luke’s duck takes licks in lakes Luke likes.*

I’m sorry, I can’t continue…oh, the pain…

I swear I’ve seen this thread before…

I know large sections of the Official Baseball Rule book by heart, chapter and verse.

Like many people here, I have encyclopedic knowledge of trivia. I don’t think I’ve ever lost a game of Trivial Pursuit. One of my victims accused me of memorizing the cards–which would’ve been harder than just knowing the stuff.

I can count cards in blackjack.

I used to be able to play the bagpipes, and paint Ukrainian easter eggs (pysanki).
