Zabka!

ESPN’s Sports Guy sez "Some of my readers have been pining for a “Billy Zabka DVD Collection” – “Karate Kid,” “Just One of the Guys” and “Back to School,” with director’s commentary from Zabka and deleted scenes – and frankly, there’s still time. They could even call it “Zabka!” It’s a no-brainer. Like you wouldn’t buy this?) "

I watched The Karate Kid last night, and I have to agree totally with that sentiment. Wasn’t Zabka just the definitive 80s movie villian?

I was hoping I wouldn’t be disappointed when I opened this thread! William Zabka belongs to that elite club of Aryan 80s movie villians: they of the coiffed blond hair, rippled physique, and scads of ladies swarming around them despite their assholery.

Yeah, there are scads of ladies around, but Zabka had usually just been dumped by the best of them. Of course, there’s nothing like some good old-fashioned ass-kicking to heal that wounded pride.

Apparently an old buddy of mine used to live next to this always-fighting couple (one was a drug addict, the other an alcoholic or something), and the Zabster was crashing with them for a little while. Made for some surreal lawnmowing scenes, apparently.
