CP, I can’t find a real cite for it offhand, but my impression is that Mugabe is just seizing whatever land he feels like, because he can, you know? This article from two years ago doesn’t give any reasons, either.

There’s a bunch of Google stuff out there under “white farms designated seizure zimbabwe”, but offhand I don’t see anybody willing to come right out and accuse Mugabe and his cronies of “stealing”.
