Are Corporations Developing Pheromones To Market Their Products?

Is it true that corporations are in the process of developing synthetic human pheromones in hopes to eventually increase demand for their products? Is there any legislation being drawn up to prevent this from happening??

Am I going to be walking down the isle at the supermarket one day and fall madly in love with a box of Pop Tarts?

Thanks.
