Does anyone remember this show? I did several searches with Hotbot and Yahoo and did not come up with anything. Anyway it was a Showtime series (on cable) in the 80s and was fabulous. I have been looking to buy video copies of it but have not been able to find even a link to it. Anyway, it portrayed the spiritual side of Robin Hood. He worshipped Hern the Hunter and Robin was killed at the end of one of the seasons to be replaced by some blonde guy.

Could the dopers and their collective wisdom help?

HUGS!

I don't believe it was on Showtime, I think it was on one of those channels that showed Xena and Hercules... it came about the same time as the Kevin Costner flick.

It was on Showtime, this was in the mid 80s. The one that you are thinking of is available at Rykers.com or something like that and is a product of Action Pak Theater. That one really sucked. Like I said, this version of Robin Hood was cool.

Thanks for your help,
Sqrl

You're thinking of the British production known as Robin of Sherwood and yes indeedly, it rocked big time!

The first season Robin of Lockslea was played by Michael Praed. The second and ongoing seasons Robert of Huntigdon was played by Jason Connery (Sean's sprog).

Nobody wanted the show to finish, but the BBC are wankers like that.

Had cooool music by Clannad, too.

Mom and I loved that show! We have most of the episodes on tape, Trouble is the tapes aren't labeled and now they're all boxed up in the closet.
You can buy the soundtrack-it's called "Legend" by Clannad
