dog hormones?
A Vet just said that my dog (3 year old female mixed breed) needs hormones and has incontinence due to her being neutered (This was done 2 &1/2 years ago)?
I don't know whether to believe this? I sure don't want to be giving my dog hormones for the rest of her life and I hate that she might actually be inconntinent forever (as does she I expect) She had been licking her crotch (excessively) and "dribbling urine prior to Vet visit. I believe a uninary tract infection is the cause (Vet also diagnosed the infection) Anyone heard of this incontinence and hormones due to neutering? |

The exact same thing happened to my dog. The doctor prescribed DES for her. I give her one small pill per week. There have been no side-effects that I've noted.
As I understand it, you're really not giving her anything that she wouldn't naturally have if she hadn't been "fixed." |
