Problems with IExplorer (possibly security issue)

Hi all. I am having trouble with a computer running Windows ME. Oddly, Internet Explorer has stopped loading secure sites. I have followed their extremely unhelpful instructions to enable specific security protocols (SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, etc), which did not have any effect. When I go to Help -> About Internet Explorer, I am told that 0-bit security is available. This, combined with the way IExplorer staunchly refuses to load any site with security, has convinced me that it is a security issue. Does any one have suggestions?

0-bit security?? That ain't right. Get thee to microsoft.com and get the latest updates and service packs for your version of IE.

Thanks for the help, people. As it turns out, I just installed Mozilla (something that should have been done a long time before) and made it work, but out of curiosity, does anyone know where to get the .dlls mentioned on the support page (Rsabase.dll and Rsaenh.dll) if one lacks a Windows CD?

You can try doing a Google search, like "rsabase.dll download," but a better bet would be to find a Windows CD.

See section 3 of Step 2 on Joey G's link.

NOTE: If you have an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) installation of Windows, the installation files may also be located in the following folder, where drive is the drive on which Windows is installed:
drive:\Windows\Options\Install

If these files are on your computer, you do not need your Windows CD because you can extract the files from the appropriate folder on your hard disk. For example, type C:\Windows\Options\Install, and then press ENTER.
You can find this folder by searching your hard drive for *.cab. It will have over 100 files with names like driver11.cab. It's usually C:\Windows\Options\Cabs.
