Pop3 E-mail/AIM question

I'm sorry if this isn't very interesting, but I recently dropped AOL but continue to use instant messenger. When I used AIM before--while I still had AOL--there would be an indicatator at the bottom showing if I had new e-mail. Now, with a Hotmail account, I'm trying to see if I can get that indicator to come back. My question is, does anyone know what I should enter as the POP3 server name in the options on AIM? I looked in the FAQ, but couldn't find anything.

Dunno if anyone can make it work for you, but you can stop that particular line of inquiry - Hotmail does not use POP3.

It's not exactly the same but you can try eprompter, it will check all of your email for you every few minutes and you can read it through their interface if you wish. It is free too.

What Email client are you using? Hotmail does not use POP3 but you can get your Hotmail email just as if it were POP3 with Outlook Express.
