Anyone got/seen any memorable personalized/vanity license plates?
No cheating in books or net sources.
I have seen (in the USA) MERDALOR MUFFDIVR

Not sure I would want the TOOFDR doing my dental work. I picture him with a little Mattel Dentist Kit.
But I would love to go shopping with the woman whose tag is simply: SHOES.
I saw a Nevada license plate once that said ELVIS. I figure there has to be only 50 of those in the entire U.S.
O2BNKY = Oh, to be in Kentucky - my best friend’s mom had this plate way back in the late 70’s or early 80’s. After that, I pretty much ignored them.
Way back in high school, one of the “cool” guys had a nice new truck with plates that read “SINSE” - wonder how he paid for it?
In California, one of your letters can be replaced by a heart symbol.
I saw this on the back of a VW in Laguna Beach.
Took me a couple of minutes, but once I got it, I applauded the girl for her creativity.
I had UNFRGTBL
Give up?Unforgetable
I used to have C2H5OH. My personal favourite, though, is a guy up the road who has HIHOAG.
Mine is THINKER, which manages to be a religious pun as well as alluding to my funky majors. I like it anyway.
Virginia has cheap fees for vanity plates, so they’re prevalent here. My current favorite in on a van owned by a pair of identical twin sisters who have PhDs (I work for one of them, BTW). The plate reads: PARODX
I recently inquired as to the availability of EADGBE, only to find it’s been taken here (Maryland). It’s the notes of a standard-tuned guitar.
There used to be a car near where I lived which had two plates on the front, which I dubbed “His and Hers.” THe ‘His’ was in the normal sport for a liscense plate, and was simply a Toronto Maple Leafs logo. The ‘Hers’ was hung underneath, and read, “My next husband will be normal”
Hey Middlecase. hmm, how about a hint…
Bravest man I ever saw drove with the plate “FEMGUY”
Cutest one was “XQQQME”
Think chemistry, think element symbols… think Lone Ranger
Here in the UK we’re more limited, as we have to stick to the legally available letters and numbers.
A good one I saw recently was on a Mazda RX-8 - RO02 ARY.
I’ve also seen DE51 RED.
AR53 NAL is currently up for auction, I believe.
I’m told there is someone driving around with the number plate PEN 15 :dubious:
OK I haven’t had my coffee yet… But Colophon?? What does C2H5OH (alcohol) have to do with the lone ranger?
My tag is CNFUZD. I tend to be bewildered most of the time.
Nothing… I meant the HIHOAG one. I assumed that’s what Rock n Roach was confused about.
On a Nissan 300 ZX - ZZZEXY.
Now that’s a vanity plate I’d love to have.
Spied on a Mini-Cooper a few days ago:
