Saw a great one tonight, on a Mercury Sable (!) –
HEP MEH
I was laughing for the next five minutes.
Seen any good ones recently?

I saw a super stupid one today. It said “FUN ITIS” which I guess is supposed to be “Fun? It is!” but made me think “Look out, that car has Funitis!”
I saw one driving through LA once that said “Buh Bye.” That gave me a chuckle.
Saw one a couple years ago…
WHINNY
…On a mustang.
A bearded outlaw biker on a custom-painted Harley-Davidson Sportster:
F U G I T
Is he trying to tell us (in Latin), “It flies?”
or
Is he saying he just doesn’t care?
There is a florist in town whose plates read ABOK4U
SPAZZO has been my favorite sighting as of late.
One that took me some time to get was Sofa King. I wrongly thought the driver sold Jennifer Convertiables. So, I am a little dense at times.
saw an ancient Lincoln in my hometown that had the license plate “LUNACY”
Jiggly.
When I was living in another town, there was a car in the neighbouring subdivision that had the plate TELXON… the competitor to the place where I worked. I figured it was the president of the company or something.
If I ever get a car, the plates will say, of course, SUNSPACE. (We in Ontario are lucky enough to have eight available characters.)
If that’s taken, there’s always SUNSPACO (“sunspace” in Esperanto).
Beyond that, I was thinking of getting a custom plate with just a random sequence of characters, like SVFD17Q6
I especially like ones that take me a minute or two to get. Saw this one about a month ago: YYY OWL
I have a picture of this one in Florida…
3M TA3
(hold it up to a mirror…)
I keep seeing a car driving around with a license plate that reads “2 DORKS.”
It makes me laugh every time. I’ve also seen “PETA H8R.”
Thats so weird… ive seen that too!! I live in San Diego but drive up to Orange County everyday for work. I saw that a few weeks ago on the freeway. Weird.

I see a Nissan (Zsomething) around Boulder with a licence plate reading ATHENAZ.
I always think it is her although she lives in da UP, but I know she used to live here.
I can’t remember, but I think there was a Doper here who had a “Vlad” license plate for her Impala.
Vlad the Impala. How cool is that?
Mine says UH OH
I had an MR2 with “UNFRGTBL.” A cop scared me half to death by following me home. He just wanted a translation.
I’ll come back tomorrow and translate, if necessary.
I saw a corvette with “Tacky”
SPLEENS – which, unless someone has a better idea, probably belongs to some kind of surgeon.
There’s a Jeep in Sydney with the plates, BAA BAA.
BAA BAA, black jeep.
Not all that original, but my boss’s and his wive’s plates used to be:
“GOT BEER” and
“GOT WINE.”
They own 3 bars and 3 liquor stores. I know they’ve both switched vehicles recently, but I don’t know why they didn’t keep the plates.
It’d be much better if NM allowed question marks on license plates.
