Block off the 29th of January, kids. True Pisces is undergoing back surgery on the 29th of December, and I’m hoping that all dopers within shouting distance of Philly will come out on the 29th to have a post op say hello fest. I’m looking at Chili’s-175 E. City Avenue, Bala Cynwyd just off I-76 to make parking easy for everyone, afford easy access, and lure more lurking central PA dopers and doperettes. Who’s in?
No promises, but I’m gonna at least try to make it up there for this one.

My drive is long and the 28th is Friday so I’ll be getting a late start but like RT, I’ll try to make this one. Are there any DC area MADs who would like to carpool with me? Maybe we can rendezvous with RT around the Baltimore MART station.
Anita is right – perhaps Saturday the 29th would work better for people traveling from afar.
I may be able to make it, but I make no promises. Robin and Aaron will be visiting the in-laws in Texas, but I still have duty to perform until the end of the year.

Actually, I’ll drive, since I am on the wagon and have been since that infamous night about a month ago. You can drink all you want to and I’ll be the DD.
That is, of course, all predicated upon whether I can make it or not, and that remains to be seen.

I’ll be inbetween jobs at this point, so I can make no promises, but I’ll keep an eye on this thread and check back later when I have a better idea what January holds for me.
This is practically just down the street for me. I’ll be there.
It would be a pretty darn long drive for me (approx 2 hr, 40min according to Mapquest) but IF we make it Saturday, and IF someone could give me a place to stay that night, and IF it’s a Saturday I have off (there’s a 50-50 chance at this point, but if the other “ifs” pan out I could bat my eyes at the HR person)… then I would love to come.
It’s entirely probable I’ll be there, too.
