I'm going to see Duran Duran on Monday!

And I’m so FREEKIN’ EXCITED.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh - What the hell do you wear to a Duran Duran concert? Big hair? I diagonal belt? Mesh?

Yeowza! :):):):):)

What’s the name of that one song they sing?

I’m so jealous! I saw them a few months ago- it was such a great show. I’d love to go again.

Some of the people there did look rather scary, though. We got a good laugh out of some of the ensembles people were sporting.

You sound like my SO. He actually made me sing a whole shwack of Duran Duran songs to him, to punish him for his baditoodidness.

He’ll not make THAT mistake again!

Her name is Rio and she’s dancing on the sand,
Her name is Rio and she runs the Rio Grande…

Polyester Satin, capezios and (because you’re an Alice as opposed to a Ralph): leg warmers.

It’s snarky comments like that which gave me the opening I needed recommend the 1st thing that came to mind: A pair of Peltors

Check out the JumboTron for snippets of their old videos if they’re still doing that. Girls On Film had some very interesting scenes.

Reflex had a neat opening last time I saw them.

I saw them on March 30th at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY. They were excellent. Here’s the set list for that concert.

They played in town this past month. I sooo wanted to surprise my wife, a self-described DD nut back in the day, with tickets, but the starting price of $55 was a little too rich for me. The review of the show in the paper was quite positive. I hope you have a disco-stomping time!

I find it amusing, alice that you ask what to wear to a DD show, as that question would not even cross my mind, other than, “Oh I eed to get dressed!” when it was time to get ready. Different strokes and all that…

I took Jayjay to see them perform last year at the Tower Theater in Philly with a couple of friends of mine. During the concert, Simon mentioned that the last time they had performed as the original line-up was at Live-Aid. I think I may have the only audience member to have been at both.

We went to see Duran Duran too, Alice. People may scoff, but they really were great. And Jim and I are both children of the 80’s, so we really enjoyed seeing a band that we were so familiar with so long ago.
