Most of us know that the critically acclaimed but short-lived TV series starred a young, nerdish Sarah Jessica Parker, and another actress as two misfit high school friends. And that SJP has gone on to fame and fortune by playing Carrie Bradshaw in Sex And The City.
But who was the other actress, the one who played her friend? What became of her?
AMY LINKER (b. 1966)
(Lauren Hutchinston, Square Pegs)…
Last seen: Doing voice-over work on the Mr. T Saturday morning cartoon series, Mr. T (1983); graduating from Wellesley College (1989); working as an Internet researcher for a Santa Monica, California-based marketing firm (2000).

According to her IMDB profile, Amy Linker, she’s done next to squat since Square Pegs. A bit of TV work, one movie, but nothing in the past 20 years.
Although I’d imagine a good portion of her time may be spent cutting the eyes out of magazine photos of SJP, muttering “it should’ve been me…it should’ve been me…”
<sigh…>
That’s what I get for not previewing…beat to the punch, and horrible sentence structure to boot.
“…Amy Linker has done next to squat…”
C’mon, Hal, how jealous can you be of someone who’s married to the geek from WarGames and lost her job at The Gap?
Ahh. . .but Muffy Tipperman (Jamie Gertz) is in a new sitcom (Still Standing I believe it is called) and has done some feature films – most notably Lost Boys — so Amy could be developing a complex over it, or she just found something she was more interested in doing with her life than acting.
They pay people for that? Man, I need a new gig.
