Boston Legal 5/9

Parker Posey joins the cast tonight. Beyond that, I don’t know a thing. See you all later…

It didn’t record! What am I going to do?!?!?!?!

You are so gonna hate yourself for missing this one.

What’s that gadget that Parker Posey kept typing on? Is that a Blackberry, or was she texting on a cell phone?

She looks to be an interesting character – if she had the client’s best interests in mind, and not just one-upping a rival. If she’s just gonna be another cutthroat lawyer, meh.

Loved Denny’s last line: “I can’t wait till next week.”

Numbered by me for ease of response:

  1. I believe it was a Treo, a hybrid phone/PDA.

  2. I don’t ususally like characters thown in to stir the pot, but she could be a great addition to the angst level. Her and Alan are already thowing sparks.

  3. I love it when Denny does this. I think it’s called “breaking the third wall” or something like that when the act outside of thier character and acknowledge it is all a fiction.

Sparks indeed. They’re acting like they have some history, but apparently not. Although it looks like Marlene has definitely heard of him.

If she’s so great, why did her old firm let her go? Shirley says Marlene was recruited, but if she’s truly a squid, wouldn’t her old firm have made her a better offer? Loose cannon, maybe?

I wonder how different the Squid will look if she ever actually smiles.

Dumb question, perhaps, but is there actually a "global gag rule"? I know I've heard of the situation, but is there actually a law like this that the President can decide on?

Here it is:

Did anyone notice that Alan was the only person she could not stare down?

I like how Alan has the god like ability of verbally dominating everyone he comes in contact with. I wish I could do that and that is probably why I love the show so much.
