No means no. Fifteen year old slain.

Good lord. I’m without words. However…

Ya think?

Impared judgement just -may- have been a factor. Stories like this just make me mad… Had to vent.

I don’t think that even being drunk/stoned is enough to turn a person into a murderer… evidently he’d threatened her life before, at least according to other folks.

I was going to post this story, but there’s not much to say, I don’t think… just a goddessdamned shame.

It’s stories like this that make me ashamed that lynch mobs have, for all intents and purposes, gone the way of the dodo.

Let this be a heads up ladies!

I kid, I kid! I hope New Jersey has the death penalty, and that they use the last injection as the first. Sick fucker.

Nope.

I geuss jumped the gun a little there. Apparently we do have it, but it’s never been put to use.

[sub]…carry on…[/sub]

It’s this part I don’t get:

The 15 year-old girl’s father was knocking back a few with her 21 year-old boyfriend and saying “Yo, stop playing with a gun like that.” ?

I sense June 19th will be a tense day in that household.

Yeah. Good times.

Superdude said for stories like THIS. Seems this asshole would be lucky to get lynched. At least he would get the chance to see his life flash before his eyes.

Something tells me that the entire cast of characters comes from less than stellar support networks.

a 21 y/o dating a 15 y/o? Uh- NO and NO and NO. BIG red flag.

a 21 y/o with a hx of schizophrenia etc, dating a 15 y/o? HUGE NO.

I have a 15 y/o daughter.

I do not hope this guy fries or dies etc. I hope he gets put away for life and get the treatment he needs (unlikely in prison–alot of mentall illness in prison).

Sad story all around.

You folks are right. Let’s house this guy for the remainder of time and proclaim that justice has been served. Yup.

Justice is served by putting him to death?

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that the diagnosed mental illness may have been a contributing factor.

danceswithcats, eleanorigby: Holy False Dilemma, Batman!

I’m a supporter of the death penalty in general, but I don’t think it’s appropriate for all cases. Especially if the person has a history of mental illness.

I hope this person gets treated if his illness caused him to kill. Otherwise, there’s nothing left but the death penalty.

Yep, especially since he wasn’t taking his meds.

Still-diagnosed as schizophrenic at age 10? I thought most people didn’t show signs until they were in their twenties? Does that mean it would most likely be worse?

What’s wrong with her parents? Why is a 15 year old hanging out with 21 year olds? That’s a disaster waiting to happen, no matter how you look at it. And someone get the clue stick out on the father. Hello, if the dude is old enough to hang out and drink with you, he’s too old for your 15 year old daughter, fuckstick. :smack:

I think you guys are confusing two people in the story. Nicole White was his girlfriend, and she’s 22. Lisa Hernandez, 15, was the girl who was shot. Santiago was Lisa’s father and apparently Bishop’s (the perpetrator) drinking buddy, and the one who claims that Bishop hade previously made a death threat against his daughter.

And what the fuck were the unnamed witnesses doing while Bishop put the gun to this girl’s head several times? They thought it was okay because she pushed it away again?

Along with “justified lynchings” ( ) come stories like the one I linked to.

Hey, zetafunction, I’m not CONDONING lynch mobs in the slightest. However, I think that, IF this guy were lynched, the only people that would shed tears would be his family.
