This is not The People. Even if they were the vast majority (they are not), there are provisions in our Constitution that address the issue of “tyranny by the majority” and “rule by public opinion”. There are provisons for separation of church and state. There is no State religion. Freedom of religion includes freedom from religion. I believe like many others that the judiciary must be immune to political pressure and public opinion. I have a simplistic view of government. The legislature writes law. The judiciary interprets and rules on points of law. The president executes law (executive branch).
I also have a deep isue with the combining of the Jesusfish and the name Bush, as if Bush = God.
Stick one of these next to a Bushfish whenever you see one.

I don’t think it’s the fundies at all. I see this as yet another step at domination by the magnetic shit manufacturers. There was a time that I actually wanted to move to the US. It seemed like such a positive upbeat society. But the way things have changed I don’t even want to visit there again.
