Well, I was just reading this post, and I started to wonder. (And also to wish I had any kind of MP3 player) At first, I thought that the site he was referring to sold Ipod is a variety of colors, via aftermarket mods. They do, but they don’t stick to just one color. You can have a contrast between the wheel and the unit, have a logo painted on , or just about any design you might like.
Thus, I was wondering about how you would customize yours, given the choice. Would you have it be Neon Pink? Make it dark blue, almost black? Put a complex tribal tattoo design? Make it look like a candy bar, or one of the 80s Jigsaw puzzles depicting Junk-food? Alternately, have you already do so, or someone you know ? Personally, I kept thinking of misc. works of art, but I have to concur that you would get tired of looking at it after a while, so a simpler, more abstract desing is called for.
Then again, I suppose since the newest model is called the Nano, I should design a Robin Williams design, the Nano nanu, patterned after his Space Egg. 
P.S. As long as I am making “demands” like “Modify the design of the iPod”, or "Name all the books where “Y” happens, I might as well make one more demand.
