You know that internet rumor about the atheists trying to get Christian programming off the air, trying to ban Christmans and carols in school? Well, I got it today in email, from my mom, complete with over 500 freakin’ names on a petition. Heh. I sent a reply to everyone on the list linking to the actual family.org page that says it’s a hoax.
I pity the poor folks at the FCC if they are still having to deal with an urban legend 30 years later.
I am seriously thinking about a campaign of anti-spam for those folks who send this crap out. Whenever they send some spurious email on a random subject to me i shall reply with some factual content or maybe an exerpt from some scientific papers. AND cc in everyone else mentioned on the email (why don’t these people ever know how to use the BCC button to protect people’s privacy?).
Well then, it seems LorieSmurf’s Mom is right. The FCC is a threat to x-rated broadcast programming, and only the limits of their charter prevent it from going after x-rated cablecasts and other means of distribution as well. Interface2x, for example, might be in big trouble. Twice the x, twice the problems. S/he’ll be lucky to be allowed to go caroling this year. Not that there’s no place in my world for a little x-rated caroling.
I got the same e-mail the other day. I started to reply…and then I decided that perhaps it’s better to let the idiots of the world waste their time with harmless crap. Og forbid the morons get around to doing something that would actually affect me.
I have it on good evidence that your X is really a Greek chi, trying to sneak reference to your deity into the mass media in violation of the FCC rule!
I keep getting e-mails that want to sell me deeply religious videos, though I don’t really understand why xxx is better than x. I don’t think I’ll ever understand these xtians. Every time I try to look it up, I get a lot of hits about a bald action hero, a past Superb Owl, and a whole lot of overheated teen analysts.
Every time I think I understand the internet, it wraps me in bubblepack and throws me into the alley.
i believe i may be able to clear up your confusion. XXXtians believe in the miracle of the x, the x and the holy x. Consider this in relation to the 7th letter xtians who maintain that the alphabet is wrongly ordered and you’ll see where the great religious divide lies.
Normal xtians like myself however are the only group who worship x as x is meant to be worshipped. x has called us and we have obeyed x’s summons. Look around you and you will see signs of x everywhere - in badly spelt txt msgs and in the eyes of dead cartoon characters for example. Proof that x loves us and wants us to follow.
Sorry, but you x schismatics broke off from us a long time ago and we know you are a bunch of liars. The only true religion is the yz faith, which remains pure.
