HBO's Sunday 9pm slot?

Now that Rome has finished its first season, the Sunday 9pm slot on HBO is open. That's usually where the one hour dramas reign, so I was wondering if anyone knows what series will be starting up again there in 2006. I know Deadwood and The Wire are scheduled for new seasons in 2006, but hbo.com gives no indication of when in 2006 and which will happen first. Hoping for some insider info on this, so I know what I can look forward to again.

Thanks.

I seem to recall that there was a trailer for Sopranos after the final Rome episode that mentioned March 2006.

I thought we weren't getting more Sopranos until 2007. The HBO website says stuff about 2006 for The Wire and Deadwood, but not Sopranos. I hope you're right. It's been too long.

So far as I know, it hasn't been announced. On December 1st, we sould be able to see the January schedule on the HBO website. Maybe it's something new!

HBO is starting reruns of the last season of The Sopranos in December. Assuming they intend to run the whole season, like they usually do, this would take them to March, when they advertised during the last episode of Rome the new season of The Sopranos would start.

This would also match their usually tendancy of rerunning the previous season before starting the new season.

I also noticed they're starting the rerun of the last season of Deadwood in December, at 10pm. Maybe they intend to give us new seasons of The Sopranos and Deadwood at the same time? They ran the initial season of Deadwood at 10pm following The Sopranos, so I'd say it's possible.

Ooh, that would be cool -- Sopranos AND Deadwood! I am hopeful, but not optimistic. I think they only did that the first time around because they wanted to give the new show a time-slot boost.

I read just yesterday that HBO has announced that Deadwood won't be back until June because they want to give the new drama Big Love the time slot behind the next season of The Sopranos in March.
As a Swearingen acolyte, this has not come as good news. Curse you HBO limp d*cked execs!

IMDB says:

Big Love centres around a polygamist (Bill Paxton) and his relationship with the three wives, all whom he is married to.

Oh, and it seems the 'wives' are Jeanne Tripplehorn, Chloe Sevigny, and Ginnifer Goodwin

HBO's January schedule is out. Sopranos reruns at 9:00 and Deadwood reruns at 10:00. We're at least six weeks from fresh material.

I guess I can watch Sopranos reruns again, considering the last new episode was June 2004.

BTW, IMDB says new season starts March 12, 2006. Take that for what it's worth.

"Epitafios" should have been given a shot at the 9 pm time slot, but I suppose they didn't want to make people read.
