We just had another case of a poster who had been banned long ago, sneaking back in under a different username. In this case “Droolian.”
Our policy is to ban the person and to delete (well, to “disappear”) all his posts. This is currently in process. The only way to discourage people from repeating this ad infinitam is the knowledge that all their posts will vanish, and so it’s futile to continue.
Alas, this causes some hiccups in the fabric of space time, and we’re sorry about that: rereading a thread means people are responding to a post that isn’t there. And you may look for a thread that he started, that’s no longer around.
We are sorry about that, but this policy is pretty much the only way we have of keeping such jerks out: namely, showing them that it’s useless for them to continue. So, don’t blame us, blame him for starting threads and adding to discussions, when he knew that all his threads and comments would be vanished.
Anyone with detailed questions can email a Mod. We don’t like public discussion of these things: trolls are out for attention, any attention, even negative.
