So, here I am upstairs perusing the SDMB when I glance out the window and see my neighbor’s three-year old kid hanging from a powerline! The little beast apparently escaped out his bedroom window onto the garage roof and decided to play monkey on those pretty black wires.
I screamed at him and ran downstairs and next-door to alert his mother. Fortunately, he didn’t get fried
Hey you kid! Get off my power line! shakes fist angrily
Probably cable or phone, since power is waaaaaayyyyy at the top of the pole.
Nope, it’s the powerline; the power company was out last week servicing it. The lines here are really old and tend to droop.
Hey! you got your kid on my powerline!
Hey! you got your powerline on my kid!

I used to do that to my neighbors house when I was like 6.
It’s a miracle I lived to this ripe old age.

There once was a kid on a line
who was having a heck of a time!
The poor little runt,
made himself a shunt,
and learnt 4160V don’t feel fine.

This human-based grounding application contains no PCBs.
And people wonder why we don’t have children.
I mean, my heart lurched just reading that.
You should have yelled : “JUMP! JUMP!”
That would have resulted in Chlorox in the Gene Pool.
I think you just should have let natural selection take its course.
Now the little moron might grow up and breed.
Maybe he’ll have super powers.
And be a super villain.

I knew an older kid who climbed a pole and fried his arm off.
I want to know how a three-year-old managed to climb a telephone pole .
Never mind. I’ve had two or three Midol today, I’m a little loopy… :o
It’s okay, sweetie. I’ll still keep you and love you forev-ah.
Um…so long as you keep that Midol close by…

From a duck or a goose. Where else?
Rilchiam:
So how did he get down?
Well, it was First Down, the Ref just blew his whistle & raised his arms…nah. Almost as lame as the duck/goose thing.
