I have nothing to add other than I want that painting.
Do you live in an airplane hangar? I can’t imagine having a wall long enough to hang it.
That was hilarious.
So I’ll have to build a new wing on the house. It would be worth it.
linkety link?
If you want it, you can’t have it
I was just over at youtube–no one has posted it there yet . Nice to see the Bruce-ster up on the small screen again. No chainsaws, though.
I’m amazed at the way that Procter and Gamble has managed to revive the Old Spice brand. When I was a kid in the 1970s, Old Spice cologne came in that familiar white ceramic bottle, and was considered completely uncool. Not just your father’s cologne but maybe your grandfather’s. Now they’re selling Old Spice High Endurance and Old Spice Red Zone products to young men. I never would have imagined it.
It’s official. That’s the first commercial. Bruce Campbell is now the official spokesman for Old Spice.
It’s on youtube now. And you didn’t look closely enough for the chainsaw.
I love the sound of the chair squeaking as he gets up/sits down.
I’m guessing they constructed a circular room for that? The camera seems to be turning instead of moving as he walks, but I don’t know enough about the technical aspect of lenses and such (the word “parallax” always seems to come up) to say for sure.
And I agree with Dewey Finn that they’ve done a great job of reinventing the brand by cashing in on the nostalgia craze. Their Web site (which I visited to look for the ad) is pretty clever, too. From the FAQ:
Groovy
Hey! The second fireplace isn’t the same as the first!
I assume you’ve seen that ad with the EXTREMELY hot girl dancing in the nightclub - the basic premise is “when she sweats, it’s hot; when you sweat, it stinks”? But I only caught the premise on the 23rd viewing…
It’s on Youtube, too…search on Old Spice.
I found it hard to find via a you tube search and ended up finding it via a google link, for those of you who may have similar search issues.
I love the flaming fireplace at the end. Very classy, Bruce.
I said this in the other thread, but this is one of te funniest commercials I’ve ever seen.
