Inconsiderate BBC! (Footie and Valentines Day)
Ah, so here we are again... February 14, St Valentine's Day.
A time to spend with your special someone. Especially if, like me, it's the first Valentine's Day since you've been married. All is set: wine, candles, soft music, homecooked meal. And what does the BBC do? Decides to screen Arsenal vs Bolton in a fourth-round FA cup replay. This will be a cracking game - fourth- and fifth-place in the league, both teams need a trophy this season, and there's a history between them that guarantees fireworks. This is a true dilemma: 1) miss what could be one of the games of the season 2) annoy the missus in a spectacular fashion by spending Valentine's Day watching footie. (The missus wins every time... what kind of husband would I be otherwise... but dammit it's going to be hard to resist putting the TV on for a "quick check of the score, darling"). Gah! |

If she really loved you, she'd understand.

If only there was some sort of device capable of recording broadcast television signals for later review.
