Well, I applied to graduate school...

Cartainly mundane and probably pointless, but I’ve just got to share it with somebody besides mrsgnu:
I just sent in all the remaining items to complete my application to the UCLA Animation Workshop. (“Workshop” is a bit of a misnomer, as it’s a three-year MFA program.)
Being a pessimist, I don’t think I’ll make it in, but I’m hoping.

If ya get in, great. If not, at least ya took the shot. Win-win.

The old “reject 100% of people who don’t apply” thing.
The gentleman I toured the facility with told me the number accepted isn’t firm each year, but the figures he gave seemed to hover around 20%.

It’s more than that. What did it cost you to apply, a few dollars and some time? In exchange, in a few weeks you’ll know if ya made the cut or not. That’s better than spending the rest of your life wondering.

If ya don’t get in, it’s not like that’s the only school on the planet. If ya want to pursue it, try some others.
