USB cable for casio EX z60 digital camera

I just bought a Casio EX Z60 digital camera, out of box special, from Circuit City. It comes with nothing. It was fairly easy to find it needs an NP-20 Li battery, but looking at the USB connector, I cannot figure out what type of USB cable to get. Does anyone have any idea?

Couldn't the people at BB steer you in the right direction? You should take the camera to the store (or any electronics place) and match the camera to a cable that will work. I doubt that it's a proprietary connection that you can only get from Casio.
Check other USB devices you have laying around and see if one of their cables will work on it. Your phone, camcorder, mp3 player, printer, etc,....one of them might use the same connector. Does your computer have a card reader? You won't even need a cable if that's the case, unless you charge your camera via the USB port.
If all you need the cable for is getting the pics off the card then a card reader might even be cheaper.

I forgot to mention that I did try to mate it with all the cables we have at home and they didn't work. The people at circuit city know nothing. Thanks for the info concerning the EMC-3A.

That's not exactly the USB cable the OP was looking for, the one you linked to is for hooking it up to a TV.

Hmm, you are right, some how my google-fu failed me. It now appears the correct USB cable is the EMC-1, which is apparently discontinued.

Right, on further review that is for connecting to a TV and available only through the docking cradle, which I do not have. I am looking for the transfer cable that connects the camera to the computer. Actually, it is listed on the same Froogle page as the EMC-3A, but if I had a name or number for it, I could price shop. No real identifying information concerning the cable is listed.

Actually not on the same page but found search casio z60 transfer cable. It must have a name and number.

Screw buying a cable....card reader is much cheaper and does the trick just as well. Looks like it takes an SD card, so anything that will read SD cards should do the trick for you.

But if you must have the cable, try ebay.

Also, the reviews on this camera are pretty poor. If you were really looking for a decent P/S digital camera, I'd return it.

I agree, a $10 USB card reader is simple, faster, and more reliable.
