Very vaguely creepy, The Sequel

Second verse
Same as the first!

Well, let me be the first…since I may have been the last. This was originally posted on the phantom Page 11 of the original VVC thread, but now that it’s closed, I don’t think we can get to it anymore (the page, not the thread). How very vaguely creepy that the VVC thread has eleven pages, but only displays ten…or maybe it’s just coincidence.

(…or not…)

Anyhoo, I woke up to get ready for work today (now yesterday), and in the course of getting dressed, I noticed that my kitchen clock was an hour behind my alarm clock. This provoked the usual “Crap, I gotta work today; what time is it really?” reaction. I looked at my vcr clock, the clock on my computer, and my watch. Verdict? My alarm clock was an hour ahead of all the others. I live alone, and know that it was set right yesterday (now day before yesterday). I didn’t reset it, so how did it get to be an hour fast?
cue X-Files music

Do you have a cat? Perhaps she’s the one setting your alarm. Okay I don’t know…maybe there is no explanation, except that you’re in the twilight zone.

Speaking of which-
One of the first episodes I ever saw (in elementary school, for some reason) of the Twilight Zone was “Eye of the Beholder.” So freaky- it’s one of the best. It’s VVC, because it ain’t graphic…it just makes you feel uneasy. So does another episode of TZ- “Spur of the Moment.” Anyone see these episodes?

Is “Eye Of The Beholder” the one with the pretty chick and the pig-people? In that case, I’ve seen it.

VVC for the day: I can’t escape the Tom Petty song “Freefalling”. I kept changing stations on my car radio today, and three consecutive stations were playing it. And then, I had my guitar with me, and some of my friends asked me to play – guess what – Freefalling. I can’t escape it. This is more Vaguely than Creepy, but it’s annoying and odd.

Pretty chick and pig people? Yup it is.

The Freefalling thing is strange…

K. It was Fri the thirteenth last night, so I decided to get an SK book out from the library to celebrate. (One that I’d already read, you know, for fun.) So I decided on Cujo. Already read it 2x before, but I do love it. Anyway…guess what movie’s playing on Sci Fi as we speak? Yep. I find it quite spooky.

Somebody’s a little mixed-up here. Eye of the Beholder was the episode about the ghodawfully ugly woman with the little eyes and that tiny nose who was operated on by a handsome doctor and a stunningly beautiful nurse.

Oy right. That’d be me. Now that I think about it, how could I have mistaken those bulldog faced doctors as being anything but the hottest things on the planet?

My all-time favorite Twilight Zone episode is the one with the gremlin on the wing of the airliner. Goofy-lookin’ gremlin, but a great show. Bill Shatner at his best. What was the title of that one? (John Lithgow (IIRC) was almost as good in the movie, and the gremlin looked much better, but the original B&W TV episode was better overall)
VVC: The girl on the box & CD cover of the computer game Oregon Trail II looks EXACTLY like my sister.

I find it VVC that this was also the first TZ episode I remember seeing. It is what helped me decide this was a very cool show.

Several months ago we were on the bus, me, the missus, both of the smalls…

My daughter is a pagan child to the bone, she likes to go outside and just sit in “my friend, the tree”.

Another family was on the bus, a family of hispanic/latino ethinicity. As they got off the bus, my daughter watched them, cocked her head for a moment, and then waved as they left, saying “Goodbye… bye… **adios![/]b”

We don’t watch Sesame Street, and Dora the Explorer wasn’t on yet, and she hadn’t started pre-school yet. I was a little weirded out… and I think it was VVC.

It’s 12:37 in the morning, I’ve got all the lights off, and I’m watching Dawn of the Dead. Now that’s creepy.

That’s nothing.
It’s 9:53 pm.
I’m eating a pineapple and anchovie pizza.

And watching Xanadu.

Boy, slythe, you DO want to puke tonight.

Would that be terror at five thousand feet? Maybe i got the number wrong, but I think the title is pretty much the same. I saw the spoof of it on the Simpsons.

I found the one with the boys in the leather jackets to be rather amusing however…

I was in LA in 1994 for the Northridge earthquake, at 4:31 AM. About a month ago I was asleep, and having an earthquake dream. Just as a Really Big One was about to hit in the dream (don’t ask me how I knew, I just did) I woke up.

Guess what time it was.

4:31 AM.

I got up and turned on all the lights and STAYED up. I don’t live on a faultline anymore but still…yikes!

That, my friend, is more than vaguely creepy. It’s downright disturbing!

Okay. I’m NOT grossed out by that pizza…is that creepy or just abnormal?

UGH!! Okay, VERY VAGUELY CREEPY-

How about every time (well now anyway) I respond to a thread, everyone else has stopped? I was the last person to respond to the VVC sequel and now everyone has stopped posting…this has happened before. Sorry its just pissing me off a bit. I feel like all I can hear are the crickets chriping everytime i say something. Sigh…

Okay, Zoggie, how about we kill two birds here. I’ll post after you so you won’t feel bad, and then I’ll follow you around the board.

Being followed around by an old woman should make you feel VVC, okay?

Kinda like when your mom cleaned up under your bed, maybe?

Creeped out yet?

(This doesn’t work if you’re an old gal too though. Are you?)
