Everyone, if you have not had a chance to read this thread Please take a couple of minutes and at least read the OP.
Short story, one of our own had a theft from their bank account (scum altered a check) and now the family out of money and is in danger of having their electricity turned off since the payment check bounced.
While I would like to think of myself as a hard hearted bastard, I can’t just read this one and go on to the next thread. Folks, we have to do something for RyJae and family. Or I have to anyway.
Time is critical here, as they want to shut of the power ASAP. I will act as a conduit for donations if RyJae wants to remain anonymous. My paypal is linked to the email I use for this board.
Could you look in your sofa and see if there are a few extra coins, or maybe skip a latte tomorrow and we can send the money to RyJae.
As someone having their own financial melt down my heart went out when I read RyJae’s post. I tend to feel that we are family here and when the chips are down people help out. It is great that Rick has started this thread. It makes me feel proud to be a doper.
Dollars heading your way tomorrow evening (can’t access my personal e-mail/paypal while away from home).
And a hearty (booze-filled*) FOAD to the pigfucker who made all this possible**.
*****Hey, c’mon…my Colorado brother, who I see annually at best, is in town…I’m allowed to play poker and drink too much Jameson’s with my brothers.
******Errr…by “this”, I don’t mean Rick, of course…
I’d like to help if somebody can tell me what the heck I’m doing wrong with paypal. I’ve used paypal only once before several years ago.
I go to the “Send Money” tab and select Pay Anyone. Entered recipient’s email address, amount, etc. Hit “continue”. Next screen tells me to add a credit card to my account (“recommended”). Fine. I enter the number, expiration date, etc. I hit “add card”. Next page tells me that this card is already active on my account. Nowhere does it tell me how to use this card to send money.
The only buttons at he bottom of the form are “add card” and “cancel”.
