Miyoshi Umeki, who had a good stage and movie career but was best known as Mrs. Livingston on "The Courtship of Eddie’s Father, died on August 28th at the age of 78.
The first person of Asian descent to be nominated for an acting Oscar, she also won (for Sayonara).
